The Day After Christmas: Reuse and Upcycle

After all the parties and openings of gifts and presents during Christmas weekend, we wake up to another new morning with loads of crumpled sheets of gift wraps, a withering Christmas tree, and sweaters given as gifts that don’t really fit your size or taste. What to do with all the leftover stuff the day after Christmas?

Here are 3 Tips that you can readily count on to reuse and upcycle the left-over waste from the long and fun holiday season:

Tip 1: Have an Exchange Party

Instead of throwing away gifts that you think you will not use at all, think of other people that will need them and invite friends for an exchange party of gifts. It’s fun and it extends the holiday spirit as you get to choose from the gift of your friends what you want and exchange the gifts that you have that you don’t need.  In the end, everyone will be happy and no gift is put to waste.

Tip 2: Re-gift and Create a Gift Drawer

If you think that giving the gift you received to others is taboo, then think twice. We are soon heading to 2017 and gone are the old sayings in the past years that giving the gifts you have received to others is not cool. Re-gifting is the best way to reuse and you don’t have to give the gifts you don’t want asap – you can make a gift drawer and store them all until that special occasion, birthday or event comes and you can re-gift your present and make others happy and at the same time you save money as well while, saving planet earth with no wasted gift thrown away.

Tip 3: Donate Unwanted Presents and Clothes to SFD or any Charity

For unwanted presents, there is no better way but to donate them to Seams for Dreams Clothing Donation Drive or any charity of your preference. We are still continuing the pickups of clothing donations so if you have some leftover clothing presents or some fashion items that you think will be of benefit to other people in need, then do donate and write us at info@seamsfordreams.com

Reuse, re-gift and donate your presents and leftovers from Christmas to people who would cherish them more than you and help at the same time in saving planet earth from more waste gained after the busy holidays. The whole team of Seams for Dreams wishes you continued blessings as we are one with you during this season until we welcome the New Year with a big bang!
